Promising Cancer Immune Therapy

Natural killer (NK) cell therapies are showing promise as a safer and potentially equally effective alternative to T-cell therapies for cancer treatment. Recent trials using genetically enhanced NK cells derived from donor umbilical-cord blood have demonstrated significant survival rates and fewer side effects compared to existing treatments. Researchers are now focused on improving NK cell persistence and function to enhance their efficacy as a cancer therapy.
